Questions about construction technology

The formwork is 60 cm high. The following diameters (in cm) are available: 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.

Depending on how the locking cylinder is turned, the anchor can be continuously adjusted in a 5mm grid.

If possible, the anchor should be oiled / waxed with formwork oil / formwork wax before every concreting in order to prevent concrete residues on the anchor as far as possible. In the event that concrete remains stick, they can either be removed by hand or cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. The locking cylinder should be oiled every quarter so that the ball stud remains easily adjustable.

The anchor is installed with a ½ “ratchet with a 24 mm socket or with an impact wrench. When removing, the anchor is first loosened with a long ¾ “ratchet (1.00 m lever arm). A small ½‘‘ ratchet or an impact wrench can then be used to completely remove the anchor.

Thanks to the extremely robust panel structure made of a high load-bearing plywood core and top layer made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, the Xlife panel can even be concreted up to 350 times.

Yes, before concreting, a very thin release agent must be applied to the Xlife sheet. When using Doka OptiX surfaces obtained particularly low porosity and appealing.

Despite the very robust construction of the Xlife panels, damage can occur during use. Like any other panel, the Xlife panel can then be refurbished using small repair wooden plates when the surface is damaged, or welding activities when the metal part is damaged. In worst case, complete plywood can be changed.
